Deactivating cookies
There are around two billion websites worldwide [1]. Thanks to industrious data protection advocates, most of them require you to consent to cookies. We’d therefore like to offer a straightforward guide to preventing the use of cookies.
CHROME
- Open Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the “More” symbol at the top right, then click “Settings”.
- Click on “Advanced” at the bottom.
- Under “Privacy and security”, click on “Content settings”.
- Click on “Cookies”.
- Activate or deactivate the option “Allow sites to save and read cookie data”.
INTERNET EXPLORER
- Under “Internet options”, click on the “Privacy” tab.
- Under “Settings”, click on “Advanced” in the top half of the Privacy tab.
- Then deselect “Always allow session cookies”.
- Now select “Block” under “Third-party Cookies”.
- Then click on “OK” to return to the Privacy tab.
SAFARI
- Click on “Settings” in the “Privacy” tab.
- Select the desired options under “Block cookies and other website data”.
FIREFOX
- Open the “Settings” window.
- Click on the “Privacy” tab at the top.
- Select the desired settings under “Cookies”.
